This was actually a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. To top it off it was good for me as well! I ate a lot of clementine oranges as well as salads and bananas. I did this from 26 Dec to 24 Jan and I have continued to eat fruits and vegetables pretty much every day, and a lot more than I did in the past.

On 25 December 2010 I made and delivered 4 blankets to the residents of Tiffany Heights. They were the kind of blankets that you tie together and are made of soft fleece. I was going to take a picture of them, but I forgot to! It was nice to be able to visit with women whose family did not live close enough to visit them. It was humbling to see these women in their surrounding talking about husbands and children who were only able to call on Christmas day. The smiles that were seen that day will forever be remembered.

I was able to complete 2 years of my pre-med degree at Northwest Missouri State University. I had to take a break from school due to work/school conflicts, but I have applied to the University of Missouri-Columbia for the fall of 2011!

When I broke my arm in 2009 I went to a gym in St. Joe with my friend Jacque. I signed up for a summer trial period and was able to work out, even with my cast on. I wish I had taken pictures of myself doing this, I am sure it looked pretty funny with my hot pink cast! It was also helpful after my cast was removed. I went to physical therapy and then would go to the gym and continue to exercise.

I haven’t been the best about updating my girls nights. I have had one with my friend Jacque, actually we have had a couple. We would get together and cook supper and just talk, we did that a few times. Another time we had a Mary Kay party and then went out for a few hours. Misty, a friend of mine in the Army, and I have also had a girls night. We did have her husband and brother with us, but it was more for someone to drive us around. We wore dresses and went to Hooters and got more attention than the girls that worked there! We also went to a country bar and just had fun. Alana and I had a girls night when I visited her on Halloween. We ate ice cream, watched movies, and searched and listened to music most of the day. It was just a relaxing time.

Today, 30 Nov 2010, I went to the Dollar Store to pick up a few things and they had the Angels Tree all set up. For the past few years the Dollar Store has teamed up with the Salvation Army to help needy families find ways to get presents to the children. For the past 2 years I have adopted a child from this tree. This year makes year 3. I chose an 8-year-old girl. I hope she enjoys the shirt, gloves, toys, and coloring books I chose for her. Merry Christmas and God bless!
